We have seen it happen more than a few times now. Subaru comes out with a concept that impresses everybody. They then announce the production model that will be based on the design. Finally, they will release a production model that looks nothing like the concept is was suppose to be based on.
Because of that, people were skeptical when Subaru announce that the 2017 Subaru Impreza was going to be based on the Subaru Impreza 5-Door concept that they showed off at the New York Auto Show last year. Looking at the production model right now, do you think they messed it up?
The Subaru Impreza will be powered by a 2.0 liter flat four engine that will be pushing out about 148hp and 152lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a Lineartronic CVT transmission with a seven-speed manual mode.
There will be four trim options with the top of the range Limited model coming with additional features like push start button, leather upholstery, 8inch touchscreen, Harmon/Kardon stereo, a set of 17inch wheels and more.
