Previous reports suggested that Subaru was looking to stop offering the manual transmission on the Subaru Impreza but it has just been reveal that the 2017 model will still be coming in with a manual transmission.
The 2017 Subaru Impreza will be coming in with a 2.0 liter Boxer engine that will be offering about 152hp, a 4hp upgrade from the previous model It will also come with a five-speed manual transmission option although that option will only be offered on the base and the Sports model. The Premium and Limited will only have the CVT option to choose from. With the CVT, the Impreza will return about 28mpg in the city and 38mpg on the highway.
Besides revealing the transmission option, Subaru also reveals the price tags for the Subaru Impreza. Customers will get to choose from four trims, the base model, Premium, Sport and Limited. The base model with the manual transmission will retail for $19,215.
