We can never understand why Subaru always does it but whenever they show us a promising concept, the production model based on the concept will end up looking very different and disappointing.
We were all pretty impressed with the Subaru 5-Door concept that Subaru showed off at the New York Audi Show. At the end of it all, we were left wondering if Subaru would stay true to the concept design and mess with it.
Looking at the production model, it looks like Subaru carried over most of the design features but they did tweak the design here and there. Overall, we think the concept was better but the production model turns out way better than what we had imagined.
The Subaru Impreza should be powered by a 2.0 liter flat four engine that will be delivering about 148hp and 152lb ft of torque and will be mated to a CVT transmission.
