There were already talks about Renault working on a new battery for the ZIOE and now the automaker has confirmed that their Renault ZOE for 2017 will be coming in with a bigger battery option.
The base model will still be coming in with a 22kWh battery pack but most people would probably ignore that and go for the new 41kWh battery option which will only cost about €2,500 more than the base model with the smaller battery pack.
In return for the slightly bigger price tag, the 2017 Renault Zoe will be able to offer about 250miles of range. There were also talks about the Renault ZOE possibly getting a bigger motor which should also help improve its performance. There were rumors saying that it could be a 65kW motor but Renault has not confirmed it just yet.
More details should be released as we get closer to the Paris Motor Show.
