Not everybody was happy when Porsche announce that they were going to replace the Porsche 911 GTS engine with a turbo engine. Although we already knew that it was going to happen, that does not mean that everybody will be fine with it.
It is easy to see why Porsche wanted to do it. With the new turbo engine, the Porsche 911 GTS would be able to deliver more in terms of power and have better fuel efficiency. The 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine under the hood offered about 420hp under the Carrera S so the 911 GTS should be offering a little more than that.
Getting a new engine is not the only upgrade that we will be seeing. The Porsche 911 GTS will also be fitted with a stick transmission this time around. Do you think that will be enough to convince the purist that the 911 GTS is still worth getting?
