It looks like Nissan will have to issue a recall after it was reported that an issue with the Nissan Murano, Murano Hybrid, and Nissan Maxima might lead to a fire in the engine bay.
According to the report, the anti-lock brake actuator pump might have a brake fluid leakage problem. The fluid might get leaked onto the circuit board which could, in turn, lead to a fire.
A total of 134,000 units of Nissan will be affected by the recall. The cars that are affected includes the 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima, 2015-2017 Nissan Murano as well as the 2015-2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid model that comes with the Intelligent Cruise Control feature.
Those affected by the recall will be coming in to get their ABS actuator fixed for free. While the drivers wait for the notice, they might want to check to see if the ABS lights stay on for more than 10 seconds after the car has been turned on.
