Mercedes was at Detroit where they unveil the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. So what kind of setup can we expect to see in the future?
Some fans commented that they were hoping that Mercedes-Benz would release an E450 AMG but others think that we will most likely be getting the E350, E450 and E550 AMG in the future followed by the AMG E63.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class at the Detroit Auto Show came in with an S-Class inspired exterior and interior design. The grille and headlights on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class look similar to the ones we have seen on the S-Class. Some of the rear design features of the S-Class also made it to the E-Class.
Under the hood is a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be mated to a 9G-Tronic nine-speed auto transmission. The powertrain is capable of delivering about 241hp and 273lb ft of torque.
The E-Class will also come with the new PRE-SAFE Sound, a system that will emit a signal that will trigger the protective human reflex in the ear allowing the driver’s ear’s to prepare itself for the sound.
