The new Mazda MX-5 fans might want to look away now because with MX-5 with a roof is here and it will not be the affordable coupe that we all think of when we think of the Mazda MX-5.
Affordability is what the Mazda MX-5 is all about but that is definitely not the case with the new 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF model. According to Mazda, the new Mazda MX-5 RF model will now come with a $31,555 price tag.
Mazda will also be releasing 1000 units of the Mazda MX-5 RF Launch Edition. These special edition model will come with a $33,850 price tag. The Launch edition model can now be ordered online but bear in mind that there is not a whole lot left so good luck.
There is also the Mazda MX-5 FR Ground Touring model which will come with a $32,260.
While we like the idea and the practically of the hardtop Mazda MX-5 RF model, we also can’t help but feel that the Mazda MX-5 is a little overpriced. Would people actually choose the Mazda MX-5 RF over some of the other coupe models in the market if it is no longer affordable?
