Mazda is more than ready to move on now. It is clear that they are working to leave their younger and fun days behind as they work on models that look and feels more matures and premium.
It was believed that the new 2017 Mazda CX-5 was going to come in as a premium model this time around. While that means that the vehicle will be coming with more interior tech and features, it also meant that the vehicle will be sporting a bigger price tag.
Before we can decide if we are happy with the direction or not, Mazda announced the Mazda CX-5 revealing that the vehicle will stay where it is for the time being. The announced price in Japan also suggests that the price should stay the same this time around.
However, that does not mean that the Mazda CX-5 will never be a premium model. Mazda is clearly working towards that goal so the day might still come.
The new Mazda CX-5 will be coming with a new diesel 2.0-liter SkyActiv-D engine that will be offering about 155PS when it arrives.
