The Mazda 6 sales have definitely been slowing down and while some thinks that things will be getting better once the facelifted 2017 Mazda 6 arrives, others think that the facelift won’t help because the design was never its real issue.
We have not heard from Mazda yet but it is believed that the Mazda 6 will be getting a minor facelift that could include a new grille as well as headlight update to match their newer models like the CX models. The engine should remain the same for 2017.
Some believe that the missing smartphone support on the Mazda 6 could also be the reason why they are falling behind. While the other automakers are scrambling to get the new Apple CarPlay and Android Auto update ready for their customers, Mazda seems to have no intention of offering it anytime soon.
Of course, others might think that the Infotainment system is just a small part but look at how much damage it cause when Ford decided to offer the problematic MyFord Touch a few years ago.
