It has now been confirmed that we will be seeing the Kia Optima PHEV model when the new model makes its way to the Geneva Motor Show. Here is what the new PHEV model will be offering when it makes it debut.
Coming in as Kia’s first PHEV model, the Kia Optima PHEV will be running on a 2.0 liter GDI engine that will be delivering about 154hp. The engine will be paired with an electric motor that will push out about 67hp. The engine will be mated to a six-speed auto gearbox.
According to Kia, the Kia Optima PHEV will be able to offer about 33miles on electric and has a CO2 emission rate of 37g/km. The Kia Optima PHEV will be able to go from 0-62mph in 9.4 seconds and has a top speed of 74mph when on electric mode.
Besides getting a few exterior upgrades, the Kia Optima PHEV ill also be fitted with new features like Coasting Guider, updated climate control system, regenerative braking system and more.
