Jeep is looking to expand their reach into the Asian market and one of the markets that the Jeep Renegade will be heading to will be India. To make sure they impress their customer in India right from the start, the Jeep Renegade will now be getting an additional engine option.
The standard model will still be running on the 2.4 liter Tigershark engine that will be delivering about 184hp. Jeep will also still be offering the 1.4 liters Multiair turbocharged engine that will be delivering about 160hp. Besides the two engines, there will be one more engine being offered.
The 2017 Jeep Renegade will also be coming in with a 2.0 liter 5 cylinder turbocharged LJD II engine that Jeep said will be even more powerful than the 1.6 liter Multijet diesel engine. As for how much the new engine will be offering, we will have to wait and see.
