Besides getting all the standard exterior and features update, the Jeep Renegade will also be coming in with a powertrain update. It is believe that the powertrain upgrade was given to the Jeep Renegade in preparation for its arrival in India.
The 2017 Jeep Renegade will still be coming in with the two engines it was offering in the past but besides the two, the Jeep Renegade will now be getting a third engine option that will allow the Jeep Renegade to deliver more ponies than before.
The base model will still be running on the 2.4 liter Tigershark engine that will be delivering about 184hp. There is also the 1.4 liter Multiair turbocharged engine that will be delivering about 160hp.
The 2017 Jeep Renegade model will also be coming in with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged LJD II engine that Jeep mentioned will be more powerful than the multijet diesel engine.
