Some might make fun of Jaguar for entering the crossover market that late but it looks like Jaguar is the one with the last laugh now. While they might be a few years behind their competitors, there is still an advantage for coming in late.
Just because they were not in a hurry to release a crossover, they could sit back and observe how their competitors were doing it and take note of what works and what does not. The Jaguar F-Pace is the product of that patience and it looks like it will all be worth it at the end.
The Jaguar F-Pace is the one to watch for right now. The vehicle will come in with a 2.0-liter I-4 engine that will be mated to an eight-speed ZF electronic auto transmission and will be delivering about 180hp and 318lb ft of torque. It will also be fitted with safety features like stability control, tire pressure monitor, as well as traction control.
The Porsche Macan, on the other hand, will come in with a 2.0-liter engine that will be mated to a seven-speed dual clutch auto transmission. The engine will be delivering about 252hp and 273lb ft of torque and it will return about 20mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway,
