The Hyundai Elantra Eco will be powered by a 1.4 liter direct injected turbo four engine that will be delivering about 128hp and 156lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed dual clutch auto transmission. Hyundai also announces that the vehicle will be returning about 32mpg in the city and 40mpg on the highway. The base Eco model will come with features like LED daytime running lights, keyless entry, heated seats and more. The base model will retail for $21,485.
The Chevrolet Cruze will be running on a 1.4 liter inline 4 engine that will be delivering about 153hp and 177lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will return about 29mpg in the city and 41mpg on the highway. The Cruze will also come with safety features like ABS, daytime running lights, engine immobilizer and more. The base model will retail for $17,510.
