Hyundai has released a few new details about the Hyundai Elantra Eco model. Besides revealing the price of the Eco model, they also announce the EPA rating of the Hyundai Elantra and while the numbers are not bad, we can’t help but feel that the Eco model is not that Eco after all.
The Hyundai Elantra Eco will be coming in with 1.4-liter turbo engine that will be delivering about 32mpg in the city and 40mpg on the highway. While the numbers are better than the base model, the Eco model does not feel that impressive when you compare it to the other models like the Chevrolet Cruze and Honda Civic as both those models also offers about 35mpg on average.
The base Hyundai Elantra model will come with a 1.8-liter engine. There is also a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine.
The 2017 Elantra Eco base model will retail for $21,485.
