The Honda Ridgeline is a little different and that is probably what they were going for but maybe different is not really what the truck buyers want.
Unlike their competitors like the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Colorado, Honda decided to put hp and towing capability aside and focus more on features and versatility. The Honda Ridgeline will be coming in with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that will be delivering about 300hp. It also has a towing capability of 7000pounds.
There were also talk about the Honda Ridgeline being more fuel efficient now. The EPA result showed that the Ridgeline would return about 19mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. The vehicle will also come fitted with tons of new features.
The whole thing could have worked if the Honda Ridgeline did not come with such a huge price tag. The base model is estimated to cost about $35,000.
