After months of speculation, we finally got to see what the upcoming new 2017 Honda CR-V is going to look like.
We already knew that the new Honda CR-V design will be based on the new Honda Civic model. Not only will it be coming with a new exterior design, but it will also be running on a new engine. This will be the first turbo CR-V and it will be powered by a 1.5 liter four cylinder turbo engine that should be delivering about 190hp and 179lb ft of torque. There is also the 2.4 liters four-cylinder engine that will be mated to a CVT and will be offering about 184hp and 180lb ft of torque.
The base model will return about 26mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway. Besides a powertrain upgrade, the CR-V has also grown in size. The 2017 model will be taller and wider than the previous model which means more room on the inside.
All base model will come with the LED DRL while the upper trims will be getting a set of LED headlights on top of the DRL.
The Honda CR-V will be coming in to compete with the Nissan Rogue who will also be getting a major upgrade for 2017. The new Honda CR-V will be arriving this winter.
