When it comes to design options for the Honda CR-V, Honda had a few choices to choose from but it looks like they ended up choosing the Honda Civic. Based on how successful the Honda Pilot was, there were reports suggesting that the Honda Pilot design would make its way to the Honda CR-V but spy shots of the Honda CR-V revealed otherwise.
Instead of the Honda Pilot, the new Honda CR-V design will be based on the new Honda Civic. The test mule was caught sporting the same grille, headlight, and taillight design as the Honda Civic.
It is also believed that the Honda CR-V will also be riding on the same platform as the Honda Civic. If that is the case, we will most likely be seeing it comes with a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine or a 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine.
The younger design language should help make the Honda CR-V more attractive to the younger buyers.
