The Toyota Highlander is one of the top models in the market but with the GMC Acadia now coming in with a new upgrade, does the Toyota Highlander has what it takes to take on the Acadia?
The Toyota Highlander will be coming in with a 2.7 liter inline 4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission. The engine will be delivering about 185hp and 184lb ft of torque and will return about 20mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway. The base model will also come with safety features like dusk sensing headlights, emergency brake assist, glass breakage sensor and more.
The GMC Acadia, on the other hand, will be powered by a 2.5-liter I-4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission. The engine will have an output of 194hp and 190lb ft of torque and will return about 21mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. Features like the 8inch display screen and Dual skyscape sunroof will both be offered as optional features.
The Toyota Highlander will retail for $40,228 while the GMC Acadia will retail for $29,995.
