The Genesis G90 is to be marketed as a premium version under the new premium brand by Hyundai while the Kia K900 is just a premium model from Kia. While it might seem like the Kia K900 might be at a disadvantage here, the two is actually a lot closer than it seems.
The new Genesis G90 will be running on a 3.3-liter twin turbo V6 engine that will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission and will be delivering about 365hp and 376lb ft of torque. Customers looking for more can also opt to go for the 5.0 liter V8 engine that will be delivering about 420hp and 383lb ft of torque.
The Kia K900, on the other hand, will come with a 3.8liter V6 engine that will be mated to an eight-speed auto transmission and will deliver about 311hp and 293lb ft of torque. The base model will return about 17mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. Those looking for more power will be offered the 420hp model.
The Genesis G90 will be coming in with a few standard features like heated steering wheel, sunshades, ventilated front seats, tri-zone climate control and more while the Kia K900 will come with standard features like DRL, fog lights, traction control, adaptive headlights and fog lights.
The base Kia K900 will retail for $68,850.
