We know that Ford will be upgrading the Ford F-150 and now Ford has revealed some of the updates that we can expect to see.
The 2017 Ford F-150 will be coming in with the new 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine option. The new engine will not give the truck more ponies to work with but it will increase the torque of the F-150. According to Ford, the Ford F-150 will be able to deliver about 450lb ft of torque with the new engine.
Ford also mentioned that the engine will come with a new valvetrain, cylinder head and will come with a direct and port fuel injection.
That is not all. Ford also added that the engine is also lighter than the previous model. The new engine will come mated to a 10-speed transmission while the other engine option will be getting a different transmission.
