Not all Ford fans were happy with Ford’s decision to switch to a turbo engine for their Ford F-150 Raptor because many of them are worried that the new engine would take away from the characteristic that is usually associated with the Ford F-150 Raptor like the loud engine noise.
However, that is only a small price to pay for what the Ford F-150 Raptor will be getting in return. It has just been reveal that the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor engine will be able to deliver about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque. That is quite a jump from the 411hp engine with 434lb ft of torque that Ford was offering before this.
The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor will also return about 15mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway. The previous model could return about 11mpg in the city and 16mpg on the highway.
For what we will be getting in return, we think Ford made the right decision to go turbo.
