The Ford F-150 Raptor is known for having some of the sweetest engine sounds so when Ford announce that they will be replacing the engine with a new turbocharged engine, you can bet that the fans were not too happy about that.
We know that having the Raptor fitted with a turbocharged engine will mean that it will be getting a softer engine sound. However, the fans might forgive Ford for taking away the Raptor’s voice after they see the new engine numbers.
The new turbo engine under the hood will be able to offer about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque. That means the new Raptor will be 49hp more powerful than the previous model and will be offering 76lb ft of torque more than the previous Raptor.
Not only will it be offering more power but it will also be more fuel efficient. The new Ford F-150 Raptor will be able to offer about 15mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway. 4mpg more in the city and 2mpg more on the highway.
