The Ford Mustang GT will be coming in with a 5.0 liter V8 engine that will be delivering about 435hp. The engine will return about 16mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway. The 2017 Ford Mustang weighs in at 3705lbs.
The 2017 Dodge Viper, on the other hand, will com in with a 645hp engine that will return about 12mpg in the city and 21mpg on the highway which means it is less fuel efficient but nobody is going to care in this segment. The Dodge Viper also comes with a much lighter 3374lbs body. With the higher engine output and lighter body, the Dodge Viper feels like the winner here.
However, the Ford Mustang might have an advantage when it comes to the price. The Ford Mustang GT retails for $32,645 while the Dodge Viper retails for $87,895.
