There is no doubt now that the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is one powerhouse but Chevrolet has now revealed that the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is able to hit 60mph in first gear with its manual transmission.
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will come with a 650hp engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. There is also a 10-speed auto transmission option but let’s forget about that for now. Chevrolet pointed out that the vehicle will have no problem hitting the 60mph mark on first gear clearly beating models like the Subaru BRZ.
Chevrolet did not reveal how many seconds the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will need to hit the 60mph but some people have estimated it to be around the 3-second mark since the previous model with the 580hp engine only needed 4 seconds.
Whether this will help them take down their biggest rival, the Ford Mustang GT500 is a whole other story.
