The Ford Focus RS came with a unique feature. The Drift mode was something that all the other automakers did not have in the past but it looks like Ford’s success with the new Drift Mode has gotten the attention of the other automakers.
It has been reported that Audi is working on the rear differential, suspension and adaptive power steering of the Audi SQ5. The end result of it all will be a crossover that can Drift.
However, unlike the Ford Focus RS, it looks like Audi has no intention of allowing all their Audi SQ5 to drift. The new Drift system might only be offered as an option. Customers will have to opt for all the tech need like the air suspension, adaptive dampers as well as adaptive power steering to get the Audi SQ5 to drift.
No word on what Audi will be fitting under the hood although it is believed that we could be getting the 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine from the Audi S4.
