Audi fans will be happy to know that the upcoming Audi A8 will be coming in with an even more powerful diesel engine.
Audi announces that the Audi A8 will be running on a V8 diesel engine that they will be tuning to deliver close to 400hp and 678Nm of torque. There will still be the 4.2-liter V8 diesel engine that currently offers 379hp.
The V8 diesel used to be a popular engine but we don’t see much of it now so there can not be a better time for Audi to decide to offer it on their Audi A8. The upgraded V8 diesel engine will allow the Audi A8 to go from 0-62mph in less than 5 seconds.
It is believed that the Audi A8 is just the beginning and that we might see the engine under some of the other Volkswagen Group models including the Porsche Panamera.
The Audi A8 is expected to make its debut early next year.
