The Mazda 3 will come with a 2.0-liter I-4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be delivering about 155hp and 150lb ft of torque and will return about 29mpg in the city and 41mpg on the highway.
The Volkswagen Golf will retail for $18,495 while the Mazda 3 will retail for 29mpg in the city and 41mpg on the highway.
