The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and will return about 25mpg in the city and 37mpg on the highway. The Golf will come fitted with safety features like stability control, tire pressure monitor, traction control, DRL and more.
The Ford Focus will come running on a 2.0 liter I-4 engine that will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Focus will deliver about 160hp and 146lb ft of torque and will return about 26mpg in the city and 36mpg on the highway. It will also come with standard safety features like traction control, ABS, back-up camera and more.
The Volkswagen Golf will retail for $18,495 while the Ford Focus will retail for $17,225.
