As popular as the Volkswagen Golf R is, the Ford Focus RS is not one easy opponent. Who do you think will win if these two were to battle against each other?
The Ford Focus RS will be coming in with a 2.3 liter inline 4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be offering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The Ford Focus RS will also come with a few standard safety features including fog lights, cornering lights as well as daytime running lights.
The Volkswagen Golf R, on the other hand, will come in with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be offering about 292hp and 280lb ft of torque and will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. The Volkswagen Golf R will also come with safety features like traction control, dusk sensing headlights, stability control and more.
The Ford Focus RS will retail for $41,680 while the Volkswagen Golf R will retail for $38,950.
