Both the Volkswagen Golf R and the Ford Focus RS are known for their performance but it looks like that will not be enough if they want to emerge victoriously.
Under the hood of the Volkswagen Golf R is a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Golf R will have an output of 292hp and 280lb ft of torque and will return about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. The Volkswagen Golf R will also come with safety features like traction control, stability control, dusk-sensing headlights and more.
The Ford Focus RS will be powered by a 2.3 liter inline 4 engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be delivering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque and will come with features like leather steering, dual-zone climate control, leather steering and more.
The Ford Focus RS will also come with safety features like fog lights, DRL, Traction control, cornering lights, stability control and more.
The Volkswagen Golf R will retail for $38,950 while the Ford Focus RS will retail for $41,680.
