Toyota has issued a recall to recall back their Toyota RAV4 but that is not the only model affected by the recall. Besides the Toyota RAV4, Toyota will also be recalling the 2016 Lexus RX350 and 2016ES350 model.
A total of 16,660units will be affected by the recall. 4170 RAV4, 90 RX350, and 12,400 ES350 will be affected by the recall. The recall was issued after it was discovered that the a component in the brake actuator might be damage.
Since the actuator controls safety features like traction controls, stability controls, anti-lock brakes and more, the damage component might affect these safety features.
Those affected by the recall will be contacted via mail. Toyota will be checking the serial number to make sure it was from the period where the component could have been damage, if the serial number matches, the affected model will be getting the component replace. Toyota did not give a specific number of how many crashes, injuries, and fatalities the problem has caused.
