The Toyota Prius has been named the top hybrid model by Consumer Reports. Will the Lexus CT 200h be able to compete with the Prius now?
The Toyota Prius will come in with a 1.8 liter inline 4 engine that will be delivering about 121hp. The engine will be mated to a CVT transmission. According to Toyota, the Toyota Prius will be returning about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. The hybrid model will also come with safety features like tire pressure monitoring, traction control, DRL and more.
The Lexus CT 200h, on the other hand, will come in with a 1.8 liter inline 4 engine that will be delivering about 134hp and 142lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a CVT and will return about 43mpg in the city and 40mpg on the highway. The base model will also come with safety features like traction control, post-collision safety system, tire pressure monitoring and more.
The Toyota Prius base model will retail for $25,378 while the Lexus CT 200h will retail for $36,230.
