The Toyota Prius have always been one of the most pick fuel savers in the market and while the consumers were not too happy with the new design, the new and improve fuel economy numbers will mean that the Prius will remain the top. Does the Chevrolet Volt have what it takes to take on the Prius?
The Toyota Prius will be powered by a 4 cylinder hybrid engine that will return about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. As if that is not impressive enough, the Eco model will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway.
In terms of looks, the Chevrolet Volt is obviously the winner here but what about its fuel economy? The plug-in hybrid powered Chevrolet Volt will be offering about 53miles of electric range. Combined with the standard engine that the Volt is able to offer about 106mpg.
Of course, the benefit of having a Prius is that you won’t need to wait for a couple of hours for your vehicle to charge up. Which model would you pick?
