The Toyota Prius might not look the best right now but it is still one of the most fuel efficient cars in the market or at least that is the case if you leave the Chevrolet Volt out of the fight.
The new 2016 Toyota Prius comes in with a 4 cylinder hybrid engine that will return about 54mpgt in the city and 50mpg on the highway. There is also the Prius Eco which will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway. As impressive as that it, the Prius is nowhere near as fuel efficient as the Volt.
The Chevrolet Volt comes in with a hybrid engine that will be able to return 53miles on pure electric alone. If you are looking to go even further, you can fill up the tank and the Volt will be able to offer you about 106mpg.
Pair that with the better looking exterior design and we think we have a winner.
