The fact is that people were expecting Toyota to bring in a new and improve Toyota Prius for 2016 and while they did deliver when it comes to the fuel economy of the Prius, we will still have to close our eyes to convince ourselves that the 2016 Toyota Prius is an improvement.
The 2016 Toyota Prius will be powered by a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine that will be paired with an electric motor to give us about 150hp. According to the new EPA numbers announce by Toyota, the Toyota Prius will be returning about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway but that is not the best it can do.
The Prius Eco will be able to return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway and that is a huge upgrade from the previous model.
The problem now is the exterior design. While we can no longer call the Prius a boring looking vehicle now, it is also far from being the best-looking hybrid on the market.
