The Subaru WRX STi was easily one of the best performance models in the market a few years ago but a few years of minimal upgrade and slow progress meant that their competitors had ample chance to catch up and that was exactly what happened here.
While Subaru has been taking their own sweet time with their upgrades, Ford has been working to bring the Ford Focus RS here to the US. The Ford Focus RS will come running on a 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine that will be delivering about 350hp. This will allow the Ford Focus RS to go from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds. Top that of with new features like the new Drift Mode and we think we have a winner here.
The Subaru WRX STi will be competing with the Ford Focus RS using their 2.5 liter turbocharged engine that will be delivering about 305hp. The engine will return about 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway.
