It was initially announced that the Mazda CX-9 will come with an improve fuel economy. According to NRCan, the Mazda CX-9 should be about 35% better than before but how much will it be returning exactly?
The Mazda CX-9 will be coming in with a 2.5 liter SkyActiv-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 250hp and 310lb ft of torque. According to Mazda, the upgraded Mazda CX-9 will come with an EPA rating of 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway with the front wheel drive system. The CX-9 will be able to return about 21mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway with the all-wheel drive system.
Based on those numbers, it looks like the 2017 Mazda CX-9 is about 32% more fuel efficient than the previous version.
