When Mazda revealed the updated Mazda CX-9, they announce that the Mazda CX-9’s fuel economy will be improved but they did not announce the actual fuel economy numbers.
NRCan tested the Mazda CX-9 can come to the conclusion that the updated model will be about 35% better than the previous model in terms of fuel efficiency but since the EPA numbers were not released yet, we did not know how much better the Mazda CX-9 is.
Well, the numbers are out now. According to EPA, the Mazda CX-9 with the front wheel drive system will return about 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway. The Mazda CX-9 with the all wheel drive system will return about 21mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway.
The new Mazda CX-9 will be running on a 2.5 liter SkyActiv-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be pushing out about 250hp and 310lb ft of torque.
