We know that the Mazda CX-9 was going to come with a better fuel economy but Mazda did not reveal the new number right away.
NRCan first tested the Mazda CX-9 and came to the conclusion and the upgrade Mazda CX-9 fuel economy would be 35% better than the previous model. So how much is that exactly?
Well, the EPA results for the Mazda CX-9 is not ready. According to EPA, the Mazda CX-9 running with the front wheel drive system will return about 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway. The one running on the all-wheel drive system will return about 21mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway. Based on that, the Mazda CX-9 is about 32% more fuel efficient now.
The Mazda CX-9 will be powered by a 2.5 liter SkyActiv-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 250hp and 310lb ft of torque.
