Some automaker prefers to take things slow but it is obvious that that was not what Mazda had in mind when they were working on the 2016 Mazda CX-9.
The 2016 Mazda CX-9 will be coming in with an upgraded exterior and interior design but that is not all. Mazda also added that the CX-9 will be a lot more fuel efficient now and the EPA proves that.
According to EPA, the Mazda CX-9 will be offering about 21mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway with the AWD. The FWD model will return about 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway.
The 2016 model will come with a 2.5-liter turbo four cylinder engine that delivers about 250hp. While it might feel like a downgrade from the 273hp engine that the Mazda CX-9 came with, we need to bear in mind that the 2016 model is much lighter now.
The base Mazda CX-9 will retail for $32k.
