The Mazda 3 will be coming in with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be delivering about 155hp and 150lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will return about 29mpg in the city and 41mpg on the highway. The Mazda 3 will also come with safety features like traction control, stability control, tire pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors and more.
The 2016 Audi A3, on the other hand, will be powered by a 1.8 liter inline 4 engine that will be delivering about 170hp and 200lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission which will return about 23mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway. The Audi A3 will also come with safety features like DRL, stability control, traction control, tire pressure monitoring, post-collision safety system and more.
The base Mazda 3 will retail for $20,730 while the Audi A3 base model will retail for $34,745.
