There is no doubt that safety is Lexus’s top priority. The new 2016 Lexus RX 350 was taken in for testing by IIHS and the vehicle manage to score the Top Safety Pick+ rating, the highest rating you can get from IIHS.
It was revealed that the Lexus RX 350 scored a Good rating for its small frontal overlap test as well as Superior for its for forward collision prevention system. It has been reported that the Lexus RX 350 AWD currently has a zero driver death per million registered vehicle years making it one of the safest models in the US market right now.
The 2016 Lexus RX 350 base model will be coming in with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that will be delivering about 295hp and 267lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed shiftable automatic transmission. According to Lexus, the Lexus RX 350 will return about 20mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway.
