You might be loving your new Jeep Wrangler like now but you will soon start to fear it after it has been around for a couple of years.
Despite already knowing the issues that come with the Takata airbags, it looks like Jeep is still fitting their 2016 Jeep Wrangler with the faulty airbags. The airbags might work just fine in the beginning but the older it gets, the more dangerous it becomes.
Luckily, Jeep has now announced that they will stop fitting their Jeep Wrangler with the Takata airbags starting next week in North America. The airbags are currently fitted on the passenger side. NHTSA have pointed out that age and the humidity of the environment plays a major role in how the airbag performs.
To be fair, FCA did notify their Jeep Wrangler customers that the vehicle is fitted with the faulty airbags and that they will most likely be a recall to replace it in the future.
