Jeep will be looking to make their way into the South East Asia market and they will be starting from India where they will be releasing the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Since they are just testing out the market right now, the Jeep models will be sold as a low volume model in the first few years. Jeep announces that their goal, this time, will be to establish their brand in India first.
While most vehicles will have a harder time adapting to the roads of India as they are known for not having the smoothest road in the market, the challenge is easily taken up by the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee as they were made to handle some of toughest terrain out there. A few bumps and potholes will not be an issue.
Depending on how the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee does in the market, Jeep will then decided what they would like to do next. It is believed that Jeep plans to set up a production plant in India if everything goes well.
