Hyundai have teased us with the first picture of the next-generation Elantra Sedan and it really does look fantastic! Iit appears that the vehicle will be given a contemporary look togetehr with lines that are sleek and dynamic.
It’s been stated that the 2016 Hyundai Elantra’s new appearance has received a positive response from a recent consumer study and that the vehicle’s designers have it a sense of “unrivalled status and unique presence.”
Peter Schreyer, the President and Chief Design Officer at Hyundai Motor Company stated that he thinks that “the all-new Elantra captures the car’s unique design characteristics that really place this model in a class of its own.” Hhe then added that the subtle and innovative enhancements give us a more contemporary feel by “communicating the new model’s comfort, fashion and sporty feel.”
The new picture reveals a big hexagonal grille togetehr with sporty, slim headlights that provide a sense of energised dynamism. We are then led to the clean, refined lined that add to the active appearance of the vehicle. You can also see the noticable wheelarches.
Our spy photographers were also able to get a few images of the vehicle’s interior earlier as well. The cabin appears to have taken some design ideas from the new Sonata on the top half of the dash and has used a few bits from the Ttuscon on the air-con panel.
The vehicle is expected to come with a 175 hp 1.6 litre T-GDI engine together with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, however this could vary between markets. Its debut is predicted to take place in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
