Things can’t get any better for Honda. The 2016 Honda Civic was brought in for testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and unsurprisingly, the vehicle manage to earn the Top Safety Pick+.
That means that the Honda Civic manage to receive top scores for all the crash test including the front crash test, side, rear, small overlap as well as the rollover test. Besides scoring top scores in all the crash test, the vehicle will also need to earn at least two points for its crash prevention tech.
The 2016 Honda Civic manage to score six points due to the fact that the Honda Civic and its crash prevention tech was able to avoid crashes at about 25mph.
Besides the 2016 Honda Civic, models like the Hyundai Sonata, Lexus RX and Nissan Altima also received the Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS. Check out the video below to see how the Honda Civic did in the small overlap crash test.
