The Chevrolet Camaro was obviously at a disadvantage when Ford brought out their new Ford Mustang back in 2014 but thing will even out this year now that the new Chevrolet Camaro has arrived.
While the base models are impressive in their own rights, we are more interested in seeing what the top of the range models will have to offer.
The Chevrolet Camaro SS will be coming with an LT1 V8 engine that will be pushing out about 455hp. The Ford Shelby GT, on the other hand, will come with a 5.2 liter V8 engine that will be delivering about 526hp and 429lb ft of torque. The Mustang engine will be mated to a six-speed transmission.
While the Camaro seems to be at a disadvantage here, we need to remember that the Camaro is a lot smaller and lighter compared to the Mustang. Even Al Oppenheiser, the Chief engineer of Camaro hinted that the Camaro might have a slight edge over the Mustang.
What do you think?
