You can’t expect to see a new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS and not see it being compared to the Ford Mustang. The two have been rivals for the longest time and it won’t be stopping anytime soon.
The Chevrolet Camaro SS comes in with a long list of upgrades. While Chevrolet did give the exterior an upgrade as well, the upgrade was not a major or drastic as we thought it will be. The Camaro SS will be powered by an LT1 V8 that will be delivering about 455hp.
Under the hood of the Ford Shelby GT is a 5.2 liter V8 engine that will be mated to a six-speed transmission and will be pushing out about 526hp and 429lb ft of torque. While it does look like the Mustang has the obvious advantage here, the fact is that the Mustang is larger and heavier than the Camaro and that should help the Camaro SS even thing out a little.
